Something feels out of tune.
You wake up each day and go through the motions. Your thoughts are noisy. You feel disconnected, like you've lost your voice, your sense of self. You're trying your hardest, but you feel like you can never quite get enough done, show up in the world in a good enough way. You feel like you should be able figure this out, how to calm down, how to help your kids, how to feel better, but you keep feeling stuck.
You've been googling, reading parenting books, trying your best to feel better, to make your life better. Maybe you've even tried talking to someone. You've got some good information and made some progress, but you are still feeling stuck, out of step, out of tune. Life is just happening to you, moving so fast, yet somehow so slow. You feel like you can't keep up.
You are not alone
We all struggle because we are human.
Sometimes, our deepest feelings, fears, insecurities, and past experiences are things we keep silent. We carry this pain inside us everyday, and often nobody sees it. We're told we should push through it, work harder, figure it out, and we push our feelings away. Or maybe we try to talk about them, but talking doesn't help and we want to express ourselves in different ways but don't know how.

These difficult feelings are a part of being human. We can hide them away, but they'll keep coming up, in words, actions, and physical symptoms.
Together we can find harmony.
Music therapy can be a space for you to tune in and connect with yourself and someone who understands the feelings you may keep silent. It can be a place to ease the burden of whatever troubles you. It can be a place to let these feelings out, explore them, retell and rewrite your story, find perspective, and transform your experiences into something symbolic, creative, beautiful, and fully yours. One beautiful thing about music therapy - even if we don't do much talking, you can still have a transformative experience.

You do not have to struggle alone. You do not have to struggle forever.
Life will always be challenging. Together we can find a way to live in harmony with the struggle of being human, and find the joy that exists in our humanity as well.
